Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Mt Kumgang is a pride of the DPRK and a world-famous scenic spot.

Mt Kumgang is not merely a scenic spot but a collection of all beauties of nature as it has the beauty of mountains, valleys, sightseeing, waterfalls, lakes, sea and coast.

From olden times, it has been called Mt Kumgang in spring when all things are revived and plants bloom, Mt Pongrae in summer when the mountains are covered with green foliage and white clouds and fog linger, Mt Phungak in autumn when the maples are tinged with red and Mt Kaegol in winter when the mountains are covered with snow.

Mt Kumgang is classified into Outer Kumgang, Inner Kumgang and Sea Kumgang according to the characteristics of regional sceneries. They all have their original beauties.

Outer Kumgang is famous for the beauty of mountains, Inner Kumgang famous for the beauty of valleys and Sea Kumgang famous for the beauty of sea and lakes.

This area is relatively warm and heavy snowy in the DPRK. The climate change in Mt Kumgang changes the appearance of the famous mountains from time to time and adds to the beauty of mountains and valleys.
