Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- Several aquaculture units in the West Sea of the DPRK harvest hundreds of tons of kelp every day.

The Pupho Offshore Farm is producing large quantities of kelp while utilizing advanced working methods. It has carried out its annual production plan at over 80 percent.

The Ongjin Offshore Farm is putting thinning according to kelp growth condition on a scientific and technological basis.

The Kumipho Fishery Station and other units are increasing production by raising the operation rate of barges and introducing the method of harvesting kelp suited to the conditions of culture grounds. -0-
