Pagyon Falls

Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Pagyon Falls, a waterfall located in Pagyon-ri, Kaesong Municipality, is one of the tourist attractions in the DPRK.

According to an official concerned, a great number of people have visited Pagyon-ri this year alone to enjoy the waterfall.

Some streams flowing from ravines between Mt Chonma and Mt Songgo run into a pond and the water falls over a cliff from the pond. This waterfall is about 37 meters high and about 1.5 meters wide.

The said strangely-shaped pond is called Pagyon. In the middle of the pond, there is a standing-stone which several people can sit on.

The visitors can enjoy the thrilling scenery of the waterfall.

At the foot of the waterfall is Komo Pool. Its water is so clear that the visitors can count even the grains of sand in it.

The waterfall harmonizes well with the surrounding fantastic rocks and forest. -0-
