Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The 14th National People's Sports Contest closed with due ceremony at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium in the DPRK on April 21.

The April 25 Players Team came first in total standings in the category of the central sports clubs in the professional sports field of the national people's sports contest, and the Songchongang Sports Club took the first place in total standings in the category of the provincial sports clubs.

North Hwanghae Province finished first in total standings in the category of provinces in the general field and the Ministry of IT Industry, the Ministry of Public Health, the Unha Trade Bureau and the Foreign Languages Publishing House respectively came first in group standings in the category of ministries and national agencies in the general field.

Pyongyang Municipality came first in the provincial standings.

Present there were Kim Tok Hun, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who doubles as chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, officials in the sports field, merited sportspersons and participants in the national people's sports contest.

Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, made a closing address. -0-
