The book contains 23 works including speeches and talks made by the President from September to October 1960.
In his works the President clarified the principled issues arising in the Party work and the economic work, including selecting and assigning persons with the strong Party spirit and ability as cadres and conducting good education for them, developing the fishing industry and saving manpower and materials in construction by lightening the prefabricated parts.
He also stressed that a guarantee of victory in military activities lies in good political work on the soldiers and to further develop the munitions industry is of very important significance in modernizing the People's Army and strengthening the country's defence capabilities by putting all the people under arms.
Among them are works dealing with the task for manufacturing more machines like heavy trucks, bulldozers and cranes in keeping with the growing economic scale of the country and the rapid economic development.
Some of them carry the idea and intention of the peerlessly great man that big efforts should be directed to developing the chemical industry in order to improve the people's living standards and put the national economy on a chemical basis.
And they set forth the tasks and ways for properly distributing crops, mechanizing the rural economy to eliminate the waste of manpower and properly keeping the socialist principle of distribution.
