New Dwelling Houses Built for Farmers in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- A ceremony for moving into new houses took place at the Township Stockbreeding Farm in Ichon County, Kangwon Province of the DPRK.

The new houses, which are designed in a cozy and modern style to match the scenery of mountainous areas, are the cradle provided for the people by the energetic guidance of the great Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea ushering in a new era in which the capital city and regions are developing simultaneously.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Myong Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the WPK, and officials, builders and agricultural workers in the county.

A congratulatory address was made by Ju Mun Jin, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee. Then the licenses for use of new houses were conveyed and oath-taking speeches made.

Farmers moved into the new houses amid the cheerful peasant music and dancing party. -0-
