Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The Sci-Tech Complex is situated on Ssuk Islet in the middle of the Taedong River in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK. It contributes to making all the citizens well versed in science and technology.
The complex was inaugurated on January 1, 2016 as a symbol of the Juche-oriented architecture under the guidance of the respected General Secretary
He came to the inauguration ceremony. Going round the complex, he said that it is a grand seat of learning for all the people, a hub for latest sci-tech dissemination, which the Party’s plan was applied, adding that the new year, when the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea would be held, started with science.
The inauguration of the complex shows how much the WPK attaches importance to the scientific front, he said, calling for successfully operating the complex, a precious asset of the country, to greatly contribute to making all the people well versed in science and technology.
Since the inauguration of the complex, not only scientists, technicians and educators but also working people, school youth and children visited the complex to learn science and technology and read advanced technical data.
The complex has built a huge sci-tech database conducive to the development of science and technology and economy of the country and new sci-tech data are periodically transmitted to relevant dissemination centers.
In 2024, nearly 10 million pieces of scientific and technological data were collected and disseminated to arouse all people’s enthusiasm for learning advanced science and technology. -0-
