Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The Agricultural Commission of the DPRK is taking agro-technical measures to protect fruit trees from blight and harmful insects.

The commission is focusing on eliminating the cause of blight outbreak with physical and chemical methods.

It is making fruit farms across the country spray insecticides as required by the technical regulations while making sure that agro-chemicals, farm machines and implements necessary for farm work are provided in contact with relevant fields.

It promotes the production of biological agro-chemicals based on botanical materials and intensifies technical guidance to introduce it in farming practice.

It also ensures that soil management on fruit farms is conducted in a qualitative way. -0-
