Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Several universities in the DPRK are pushing ahead with their efforts to improve education.
Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering has concentrated efforts on making good use of five centers for experimental education including the one for automotive engineering experimental education. It is also directing its effort to developing and manufacturing more equipment for experiment and practice.
Nampho University of Agriculture is intensifying the work to develop its overall education by realizing the integration of education, scientific research and production. By giving students research assignments and enrolling them in scientific research activities, it enables them to acquire knowledge, improve their practical abilities and complete their graduation papers through practice.
Sariwon Teacher Training College is concentrating its all efforts on broadening students' knowledge with the national assessment of the final-year students' practical ability for teaching majors in the sector of training teachers as an occasion. Through the inspection of classes at work, it analyzes new teachers' lectures and corrects their shortcomings. And it organizes the teaching contests among them to improve their qualifications. -0-
