Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The mobilization for land administration in spring was launched in different parts of the DPRK.

The agricultural sector over-fulfilled its plan for building coastal protection facilities for the first half of the year, including completing the 2 000-odd-meter embankment repair project in Sukchon County.

The fields of mining industry, construction and building materials industry and vehicle-building industry had directed efforts to adjusting and repairing dust-collecting equipment and improving their performance at smelteries and cement factories.

The Kumgang Trading Guidance Bureau gave technical guidance to adjust the tailing settling basins of various mines and put the wastewater disposal on a scientific basis of a higher level.

South Hwanghae Province finished the concrete pavement of roads extending tens of kilometers as required by technical regulations and repaired more than 10 bridges.

The province is pushing ahead with the projects of tideland embankment of Kakhoe Islet and coastal protection facilities, laying water pipes needed for solving the problem of living water for the inhabitants of Haeju City and turning Mt Kuwol into a cultural recreation ground for the people.

Similar achievements have been made in Unsan County of North Phyongan Province, Kangso District of Nampho Municipality, Sunchon City of South Phyongan Province, Manpho City of Jagang Province, Kaechon City of South Phyongan Province and Hoeryong City of North Hamgyong Province. -0-
