Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- The work to spruce up streets, villages and worksites is going on in different parts of the DPRK.

Pyongyang Municipality arranged various species of trees, flowers, turfs and ornamental grasses in conformity with the formative and ecological requirements with the main emphasis on enhancing the formative and artistic beauty and ornamental effect of landscaping, thus turning the surroundings of the People's Theatre into the places for providing the people with cultural and emotional life and resting conditions.

Triangular lawns in Munsu-dong No.1 of Taedonggang District add the scenic beauty to street in harmony with the surrounding environment.

A peculiar flower bed is installed on Kumran and Unha islets on the Pothong River, adding pleasure and optimism to the working people and residents visiting the sports parks on the islets.

Hoeryong City of North Hamgyong Province arranged trees of good species and turfs in recreation grounds and fountain parks in different parts of the city and built flower beds, sprucing up the city.

Similar successes were made in Manpho City of Jagang Province, Unsan County of North Phyongan Province and Kangso District of Nampho Municipality. -0-
