Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- The soccer tournament for Hwaebul Cup began in the DPRK on August 1.

At the tournament, which is being held at Kim Il Sung Stadium, the teams will play league matches, divided into four groups, and four winning teams from each group will play the semifinals.

At the men's matches held on August 1, the Amnokgang and Jebi teams beat the Sobaeksu and Wolmido teams 2:1 respectively and the Pyongyang Team beat the Sonbong Team 1:0. -0-
