National Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championship Opens in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- The National Juvenile Taekwon-Do Championship opened in the DPRK on Aug. 20.

Taking part in the championship, to be held at the Taekwon-Do Hall and the Taekwon-Do Holy House, are more than 550 players and coaches from various units, including the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team, the young Taekwon-Do players training school of the Pyongyang Municipal Taekwon-Do Team, and Korea University of Physical Education.

Competition will be made in Taekwon-Do (pattern, sparring, special technique and self-defense) and Paduk events.

That day there were men's and women's Taekwon-Do individual and team pattern competitions and men's and women's Paduk individual matches. -0-
