Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- Ri Suk, one of the ten best players for 2025 in the DPRK, is a student at the Weightlifting Course of the Combat Sports Faculty of Central Sports School.
She set three new world records in the women's 63 kg category at the 2025 IWF World Championships and became a twice world champion.
She, born in Waudo District of Nampho Municipality, has been trained as a promising player at Central Sports School from the age of 11.
She showed her ability as a "powerful woman" in various international games, including the 2018 Asian Junior and Juvenile Weightlifting Championships.
She set one new world record and won three gold medals at the 2023 IWF Grand Prix. And at the 2024 IWF World Championships, she set two new world records and took a world championship of women's 64 kg category.
Ri Suk is now making more efforts to glorify the honor of the country with proud successes in the international games. -0-
