Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Thursday:

- An editorial calls for successfully building socialist paradises in the flood-hit areas by turning out in the rehabilitation work with redoubled courage and confidence under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

- A ceremony of moving into new dwelling houses took place at the Idopho Farm in Unryul County, South Hwanghae Province.
