In the presence of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, a splendid banquet for labor innovators and persons of meritorious service, who took part in the celebrations of the 73rd birthday of the DPRK, was given in the garden of the headquarters building of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee on September 8, 2021.

On this significant day, agricultural officials and workers had the honor of meeting the General Secretary before others.

The General Secretary repeatedly stressed the importance of scientific farming, indicating in detail the tasks and ways for doing farming well.

Saying that agricultural production should be put on a scientific, IT and intensive basis by raising a strong wind of scientific farming, he added that the per-hectare yield of grain is increasing in recent years as compared with the past despite the unfavorable weather conditions in the country because the agricultural workers have conducted farming in a scientific way.

He stressed the need to disseminate advanced agricultural science and technology and new farming methods to the officials and working people in the agricultural field on a regular basis through the state computer network.
