Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- Rice harvesting has been completed in the main at farms of the DPRK.

Officials of the Agricultural Commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels took measures to increase the proportion of mechanization and thus finish harvesting in a short span of time.

Anak and Yonan counties of South Hwanghae Province carried out the harvest five days earlier than scheduled by mobilizing all means and forces.

South Phyongan Province, too, increased the utilization of farm machines to harvest rice in a short span of time.

Hanggu District and Ryonggang County of Nampho Municipality and Panmun District and Jangphung County of Kaesong Municipality have harvested a large area of rice every day.

Officials and agricultural workers in Pyongyang, North Hamgyong Province, Kangwon Province and other parts of the country are now concentrating all their efforts on threshing rice. -0-
