Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Fishery units in the west coastal area of the DPRK are making successes by raising the scientific level of seaweed production.

While promoting the growth of marine plants by introducing various methods suited to seawater temperature and the growth of seaweed, the Pupho Offshore Farm produced in the method of thinning a larger amount of kelp than in the same period of last year.

The Ongjin Offshore Farm produces tens of tons of kelp every day while conducting all the work according to technical regulations.

The Kumipho Fishery Station boosts the production by harvesting kelp more than two rounds a day. -0-
