Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, a research group of the Hamhung Prospecting Technology Institute under the South Hamgyong Provincial Prospecting Bureau in the DPRK developed a Korean-style portable drilling machine.

This advanced drilling machine with battery as a power source can perform geological prospecting of different purposes. Its development makes it possible to bring about the greatest benefits in geophysical prospecting, geochemical prospecting, geological mapping for districts, reef prospecting and estimation of valuable ore deposit.

It has been proven through on-site introduction that the machine conforms to the international standard in all indices including the speed of work, energy efficiency and reliability of core catch and is worthy to be widely introduced into mines across the country. -0-
