Farmers of Songhak Farm of DPRK Move into New Houses

Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- New villages showing the beautiful future of the countryside have been built at the Songhak Farm in Anju City, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK.

The fairyland-like villages where single- and low-storied and terraced houses were built with the modern, cultural and diverse characters embodied, are a cradle of happiness brought about by the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea to make the agricultural workers lead a worthwhile life and feel joy of labour while enjoying socialist civilization to their heart's content.

A ceremony for moving into new houses took place on the spot on May 29.

Present there were Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials, builders and agricultural workers in Anju City.

Ri Song Pom, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, made a congratulatory speech.

Licenses for the use of houses were handed over and oath-taking speeches were made.

Officials congratulated the farmers who were to move into new houses and shared joy with them amid the playing of delightful peasants' music. -0-
