Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The machine-building industry of the DPRK boosts the production while giving precedence to science and technology.

The Ryongsong Machine Complex is pushing ahead with the second-stage reconstruction and modernization project. It has solved technical problems arising in production, concentrating efforts on putting science, technology and production on an integral basis.

The Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326 has made technical innovations to improve the performance of rolling mills, large-scale drawing machines and other equipment, while strengthening inter-process relations and cooperation and enhancing the responsibility and role of process inspectors to increase the production.

The Pyongyang and Ryangchaek bearing factories are increasing production while introducing advanced measuring apparatuses and raising the utilization rate of detecting means.

The Anju Insulating Material Factory improved the quality and productivity of products by stepping up the technical upgrading of various production lines. The Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory has put management of equipment and technical control on a scientific basis and is operating machines at full capacity to boost production. -0-
