Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Aleksandr Matsegora and staff members of his embassy here laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on June 12 on the occasion of the national day.

A wreath in the name of the Russian embassy was laid before the tower amid the playing of wreath-laying music.

The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army and looked round the tower.

On the same day they laid a wreath and flowers at the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang Municipality.

Earlier, staff members of the Russian consulate general in Chongjin visited the liberation tower and the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Chongjin City of North Hamgyong Province. -0-
