Pyongyang, December 2 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a congratulatory message to the General Council of the United Russia Party on December 1.

The message said:

The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea extends warm congratulations and comradely greetings to the leadership and all the members of the United Russia Party on the occasion of its 24th founding anniversary.

This year the exchange and contacts between the high-level delegations of the WPK and the URP laid solid foundations for deepening the political cooperation between the two parties and the two countries and created a favorable environment for the development of the bilateral relations and we are pleased with this.

Expressing belief that the relations between the two parties would continue to develop in depth in the future in conformity with the DPRK-Russia alliance which has entered definitely a new heyday of its development, we wish the URP greater success in its responsible activities for building powerful Russia and defending the state sovereignty, security interests and territorial integrity. -0-
