Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- European political parties and organizations held regional seminars on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Personages of various political parties, organizations and groups for the study of the Juche idea and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people were present at the joint Internet seminar of political parties and organizations in the East European region "The 80-year-long proud history of the Workers' Party of Korea-independence, national self-respect and development", the Internet seminar of political parties in the West European region "80 years of the Workers' Party of Korea-independence, justice and socialism" and the joint seminar of political parties and organizations in the Nordic region.

Speeches were made there.

The chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party (Romania), the chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party, the general secretary and concurrently international secretary of the Serbian Communist Party, the representative of the Socialist Workers' Party of Croatia and other personages said that the glorious 80-year-long history of the WPK is unthinkable apart from the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who led the WPK with unshakable and invariable faith despite the complicated political situation.

The general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, the general secretary of the Italian Communist Party and personages of the left-wing political parties of such countries as Germany, Switzerland and Spain said that the WPK has covered the road of victory and glory without any mistake or twists and turns in implementing its line for 80 years.

The international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden, the international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League, the chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, the chairman of the Iceland-DPRK Friendship Association and the chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said that the WPK serves as a beacon of hope for the progressive people aspiring after socialism and advancing toward independence against imperialism and the struggle of the Workers' Party for defending independence and justice becomes an example to be followed by the world progressive political parties.

Congratulatory messages and letters to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the seminars.

Joint statements were also issued to praise the exploits of the peerlessly great men for party building and the sacred struggle of the WPK. -0-
