Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on October 9 on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present there on invitation were Gennadi Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Ivan Melinikov, first deputy speaker of the State Duma, Andrei Buliga, vice-minister of Defense, and Vitaly Shulika, vice-minister of Interior, and other personages of the political parties, government, parliament, organizations and institutions of Russia including the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Party for Peace and Unity, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Orchestra of the 21st Century and TASS.

They looked round the photos dealing with the noble revolutionary careers of the President and the Chairman and the immortal exploits performed by the respected Comrade
Speeches were made at the reception.
The DPRK ambassador said that the WPK has pioneered the road of building a powerful country independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence while strengthening the irresistible might of single-minded unity with its experienced and seasoned leadership for a long period since its founding.
It is the greatest exploit of the WPK that it has put the dignity and prestige of the DPRK on the highest level while firmly defending the state sovereignty, development environment and security interests by increasing the strongest national defence capability in the present world where tyranny and arbitrary practices are rampant, the ambassador added.
The first deputy speaker of the State Duma said that the DPRK would be unthinkable apart from the transparent political will and resolute struggle of the WPK.
He said that the WPK has consistently applied the people-first principle and staunchly implemented the line of overall state development under the leadership of Comrade
He went on:
The reality proves that for Russia, the relations with the DPRK are not one of world's agendas but a strategic state policy orientation serving the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
President Putin said that the relations between the two countries are special relations of trust, friendship and alliance.
I pay homage to the heroes who fell in battle fields, recollecting with gratitude the soldiers of the Korean People's Army who took part in the operations for liberating the Kursk area.
The fraternal relations between Russia and the DPRK are now positively expanding in all fields.
The deep trust between the top leaders of the two countries is dynamically developing the bilateral relations.
I am convinced that the Russia-DPRK friendly relations will develop in conformity with the wellbeing of the peoples of the two countries, and the proud traditions of mutual cooperation and militant friendship will continue to be carried forward.
