Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- A joint meeting with the Russian embassy here was held at Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies on April 23 to mark the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Center of the university.

Present there were officials of the university and relevant fields, teachers and students of the university, the Russian ambassador and his embassy officials and teachers and students of the embassy school.

Congratulatory speeches were made at the meeting.

Speakers said the joint meeting was held on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian Center of Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies at a significant time marking the 6th anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's historic first visit to Russia and meeting with President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

They expressed belief that the Russian Center of Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies would fulfill its mission and role in glorifying the undying feats of the top leaders of the two countries ushering in a new era of DPRK-Russia friendship and promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.

Then the participants enjoyed an art performance given by students of Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies and the Russian embassy school. -0-
