Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on Dec. 29.

The message said:

As we bid farewell to the past year and welcome a new one, I extend my warmest wishes to Your Excellency for a Happy New Year.

May the New Year 2026 mark a renewed commitment to revitalizing our collective efforts and constructive engagement, guided by dialogue and understanding, to transcend ongoing conflicts and advance our shared aspiration for a more peaceful, stable and secure future for our nations.

I look forward to strengthening our bilateral relations in the year ahead, fostering closer cooperation and yielding tangible benefits for our two friendly peoples.
