Greetings to DPRK FM from Vietnamese Counterpart

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Bui Thanh Son, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on Jan. 22 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The message said that the traditional Vietnam-DPRK friendly relations personally provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung and cultivated by the leaders of several generations and peoples of the two countries with much effort have been steadily consolidated for the past 75 years and, in particular, a new development has been made since President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un's historic visit to Vietnam in March 2019.

Expressing belief that the good traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the DPRK would develop more effectively, substantially and comprehensively thanks to the joint efforts of the two foreign ministries in 2025, a Year of Vietnam-DPRK Friendship, the message stressed that Vietnam is ready to continue to closely cooperate for the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and rest of the world. -0-
