Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Le Hoai Trung, foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on March 23.

The Vietnamese foreign minister in the message congratulated Choe Son Hui on continuing to work as foreign minister, and said that he is pleased to see the steady development of the traditional Vietnam-DPRK relations of friendship, personally provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung and developed by the leaders of different generations of the two countries.

It is the consistent stand of the Vietnamese party and state to maintain and promote the traditional Vietnam-DPRK relations of friendship in conformity with the desire of the peoples of the two countries and develop them in a more substantial and effective way and thus contribute to regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development, the message said.

The message expressed the readiness to closely cooperate for developing and promoting as ever the relations between the two countries on the basis of the successes made in the past. -0-
