Chairman Kim Jong Il Remembered in Different Countries

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Memorial meetings took place in Pakistan, Norway, Denmark, Romania, Sweden, Britain, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Finland, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Mexico from December 12 to 17 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Speeches were made at the meetings attended by political and social figures and masses of those countries.

A senator of Pakistan, a member of the Central Committee of the Pakistan Awami National Party and the chairman of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee said that the great Comrade Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to the country and the revolution with his iron will and superhuman devotion, adding that he was the strength and symbol of socialist Korea.

The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway praised Kim Jong Il as a rare thinker-theoretician, defender of socialism, peerless patriot and prominent leader of the global socialist movement.

The chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, the chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico said that the great exploits performed by Kim Jong Il are precious legacy left for the mankind.

The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea noted that Comrade Kim Jong Il is a great revolutionary, outstanding leader and great practitioner.

The first vice-chairperson of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea stressed that the exploits performed by Comrade Kim Jong Il, a peerless statesman, before the country and its people, the times and history will be immortal.

Messages to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the memorial meetings in Denmark, Sweden and Nigeria. -0-
