DPRK Embassy in Moscow Hosts Reception

Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on March 18 to mark the 77th anniversary of the conclusion of the agreement on economic and cultural cooperation between the DPRK and the Russian Federation.

Present there on invitation were Alexandr Kozlov, minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, Mikhail Degtyarev, minister of Sports, and other figures of the parliament, government and organizations in Russia, including the State Duma, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Health.

Ri Yong Jin, charge d'affaires ad interim, and staff members of the embassy were on hand.

The participants laid a flower basket and bouquet before a photo dealing with the revolutionary activities of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and paid tribute to him.

Then they looked round the photos showing the precious revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the immortal exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations, the immortal classic works of the peerlessly great men and photos showing the inexhaustible might and eye-opening development of the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the reception.

Ri Yong Jin said that the DPRK-Russia relations have been developed into the comprehensive strategic partnership and the relations of invincible alliance under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two countries, underscoring the need to boost the bilateral exchange and cooperation in the phase of implementation of the agreements reached at the historic summits.

Alexandr Kozlov said that the relations between the two countries reached a new high level as the treaty on comprehensive strategic partnership was concluded at the Russia-DPRK summit held in Pyongyang on June 19, 2024, adding that the bilateral cooperation will be further strengthened in all fields by the joint efforts.

Mikhail Degtyarev said that the stand of Russia, which has fully supported the Korean people in their struggle for defending the country's independence and its rights to sovereignty and development, will remain unchanged in the future, too, expressing the belief that mutual cooperation in the field of sports will contribute to the development of sports and the strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries. -0-
