Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, went to various polling booths in Pyongyang Municipality to learn about the preparations for the election of deputies to local people's assemblies.
Finding himself at sub-constituency No. 1 of constituency No. 79, sub-constituency No. 90 of constituency No. 89 and sub-constituency No. 112 of constituency No. 106, Choe Ryong Hae gave pep-talks to the officials of the election committees in their devoted efforts to make the upcoming election successful.
He called for making sure that the people fully express their will in the upcoming vote by well equipping the polling booths and conducting various forms of election campaigns in different ways in order to make the voters have a better understanding of the significance of the election and the modified and supplemented Law of the DPRK on the Elections of Deputies to the People's Assemblies at All Levels.
He underscored the need to organize meetings between candidates for deputies and voters to be suited for the specific conditions of each region and unit so as to ramp up the voters' political consciousness and patriotic passion and ensure that the advantages and vitality of the most popular and democratic social system of the state are clearly demonstrated once again.
Choe Ryong Hae called on the officials of every election committee to bear in mind the importance of their duty during the run-up to the election of deputies to local people's assemblies which will help cement the single-minded unity, the bedrock of the existence and development of the state, and fulfill their responsibility and role in the preparations for the forthcoming election. -0-www.kcna.kp (Juche112.11.21.)
