Miracle Born of Ardent Love for People

One day in February, Juche 64 (1975), a fisherwoman, preoccupied with digging out shellfish, went missing after being washed away to sea by tides on board a sheet of ice.

On receiving the report on this fact, Chairman Kim Jong Il phoned an official of the Korean People's Army and gave him the task of saving the girl fisher by sending a helicopter.

Not content with this, he took emergency measures to let the soldiers of the KPA stationed near the port search for the girl and dispatched officials of the Party Central Committee to the scene.

The campaign for saving the ordinary girl fisher took place simultaneously in the sky, on the land and in the sea.

But it was very difficult to find the missing girl on the vast ocean, and when the day dawned, many people became hopeless.

After being reported on this situation, Kim Jong Il instructed officials to save the girl at all costs.

The steadfast stand and will of Kim Jong Il to save the girl fisher come what may and at any cost eventually brought about a miracle.

The girl, who had hovered between life and death on the rough sea far away from the land, was finally saved and had an emotion-charged meeting with villagers.

The Korean people once again keenly felt that Kim Jong Il's embrace is the genuine mother's one, seeing the dream-like reality in which an ordinary girl was born twice. -0-
