Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the wheat processing capacity has further increased across the country since the Workers' Party of Korea put forward the policy on changing the country's structure of grain production.

The Kangryong Wheat Processing Factory and the Singye Wheat Processing Factory were built to suit the new era of regional rejuvenation. Wheat processing factories in Haeju, Nampho and Songrim have been remodeled at the higher level. And the wheat processing bases were set up at the grain management stations in different cities and counties according to the wheat output of their regions.

As a result, the nationwide wheat processing capacity has increased by two times since the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK to make a contribution to the improvement of the people's diet.

The Wonsan Wheat Processing Factory is now being successfully renovated on an expanded basis in the east coastal area and the Hamhung Wheat Processing Factory is to be inaugurated in the near future as it is accelerating the projects for its capacity expansion and modernization.

Technical preparations are now underway at the final stage to build the Phyongsong Wheat Processing Factory into a modern one of world level and the city and county grain management stations equipped with combined and integrated facilities and adapted to the characteristics of their regions next year. -0-
