Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Different provinces and cities in the DPRK have completed the projects conducive to developing the regional economy and improving the people's living standards one after another.

Jagang Province has successfully completed several huge projects including riverbed dredging and dike projects of medium and small rivers, thus improving the land appearance.

The province successfully built its educational aid program center and finished the projects for remodeling Kanggye University of Medicine and expanding the capacity of the Huichon Tile Factory.

Ryanggang Province remodeled the Hyesan Tractor Parts Factory and built or updated scores of projects including the provincial three-revolution exhibition house, the provincial agricultural science institute and Hyesan Teacher Training College.

Nampho Municipality built or modernized tens of schools, branch schools and kindergartens, and the seat of Ryonggang County where the construction of a modern hospital and regional-industry factories is underway underwent a radical change. A terraced residential district was built at the entrance to the modern port city, a new street was constructed in the Ryusa area and the Onchon Trailer Factory and a plant quarantine station were renovated or built.

Rason Municipality built more than 10 pharmacies and finished a hundred and tens of projects including remodeling of senior middle schools, branch schools and kindergartens in the municipality. -0-
