Zeal for Supporting Countryside Grows in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- The zeal for supporting the countryside is growing higher in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

Officials of provincial, city and county party and power organs in the region have been active on farm fields to provide necessary farm machines and accessories in time.

Those of provincial youth league, trade union and women's union committees, too, went to farms with lots of farming materials. And they have helped farmers in doing farm work while striving to provide better living conditions for them and stir up their enthusiasm.

Many units, including the February 8 Vinalon Complex, the Ryongsong Machine Complex and the Hongwon Fishery Station, offered necessary farming materials.

Those volunteers from the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences contribute to raising the operational rate of rice-seedling transplanters and the rooting rate of young rice plants.

Amid the growing enthusiasm, many working people have taken an active part in the assistance to the countryside every day. And millions of small and medium farming tools in tens of kinds and farming materials were supplied to farms. -0-
