Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un received a letter from members of the group of Koreans in Japan for expressing thanks to the homeland on the 70th anniversary of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on June 3.

They said in the letter that Kim Jong Un invited to the homeland the group of Koreans in Japan for expressing thanks to the homeland on the 70th anniversary of Chongryon and carefully considered lodging and boarding conditions as well as the schedule of their stay, bestowing his paternal benevolence on them.

The letter said:

On May 25, the anniversary of the formation of Chongryon, he sent a historic letter "Let Us Write a New Great Chapter in the History of the Movement of Koreans in Japan by Carrying Forward the Patriotic Spirit of the Founder Generation" to the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, thus making the exploits of the patriotic forerunners shine forever and providing our generation with new guidelines for strengthening Chongryon to be upheld by our generation.

We received a new strategy of struggle reflecting the intention and affection of the respected Marshal for attaching importance to Chongryon. It is a special privilege and the highest honor that only the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan can enjoy.

We will always remember this boundless love and emotion with which we celebrated the anniversary of the formation of Chongryon under the care of the respected Marshal and carry forward forever the 70-year patriotic history of Chongryon which has demonstrated its pride as a prestigious overseas compatriots' organization of the Republic by inheriting the original ideals of the foundation and the patriotic spirit of the preceding generations while flying higher the flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, our dignity and glory, in the sky above the alien land.
