Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Friday:

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid a congratulatory visit to Kim Il Sung Military University on April 25, the birthday of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA). (photos accompanied)

- He watched the evaluation test-fire of 240 mm shell of a multiple rocket launcher produced at a newly established national defence industrial enterprise. (photo accompanied)

- On the occasion of the 92nd KPRA birthday,

Servicepersons, working people and schoolchildren paid floral tributes to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il across the country.

Commanding officers and servicepersons of the armed forces organs laid wreaths at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong.

The Ensemble of the Ministry of National Defence gave a music and dance performance.

There took place dancing parties of youth and students and women's union officials and members.

There were celebration events in different parts of the country.

- The Moscow Zoo of Russia donated animals to the Central Zoo of the DPRK.

- The 112th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung was celebrated in Russia.

- Meetings of members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) who distinguished themselves in displaying noble traits took place in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho and Kaesong municipalities.
