Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The coal mining industry of the DPRK is putting spurs to the construction of new coal mines and pits.

The Myongchon Area Coal Mining Complex is speeding up the construction of the Kukdong Coal Mine and the Pit No.1 of the Ryongban Coal Mine to produce hundreds of thousands of tons of more coal per year.

The Thaesan Coal Mine and the Youth Pit No. 2 of the Ryongbuk Youth Coal Mine under the Kyongwon Area Coal Mining Complex are accelerating the tunneling and installation of various kinds of equipment by dint of valuable technical innovation proposals and rational working methods.

The Phunggok Youth Coal Mine under the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex is directing big efforts to building the Youth Pit. -0-
