Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- The Chollima Steel Complex in the DPRK is ramping up its production.
The complex has worked out the normal operation, repair and maintenance system of equipment and carried out its production plan by giving precedence to the supply of materials and scrupulously organizing and directing its production.
Smelters are increasing the productivity per shift by introducing working methods suited to the technical specifications of UHP electric arc furnace and shortening the steelmaking time.
Rolling and wire rope workshops are making progress in producing such goods as bar steel, guard rail and wire rope needed for major construction sites and coal mines.
Meanwhile, various units are taking measures to supply raw materials and fuel for the production of iron and steel.
Technicians and skilled workers are developing and introducing new technologies in a planned way, thus keeping production going at high rate. -0-
