Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Kim Il Gyong won three gold medals in the women's 58kg category of the 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships on May 13.

She took the first place in snatch, clean and jerk and total respectively by lifting 105kg in snatch (new Asian record), 125kg in clean and jerk and 230kg in total.

Meanwhile, in men's 65kg category, Pak Myong Jin bagged silver medals in clean and jerk and total, and a bronze medal in snatch. -0-
