Brisk Rehabilitation Projects in Flood-hit Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is now pushing ahead with the rehabilitation projects in the flood-hit areas.

Officials are taking measures to reduce additional damage in the rainy season while directing efforts to stabilizing the people's life.

The provincial power transmission and distribution station has completed a temporarily rehabilitation of the power transmission and distribution network by mobilizing all its forces and means in connection with officials concerned and thus supplied electricity necessary for the inhabitants and domestic water.

Officials and working people in the urban management sector are restoring the water system while securing materials and accessories for rehabilitation.

The officials and workers of the Sinuiju railway branch have removed a lot of earth on rail roadbeds and directed efforts to repairing the damaged railway structures.

Farms in the flood-hit areas are taking measures to improve the growth of damaged crops while draining water. -0-
