More School Graduates Volunteer for Military Service

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Many senior-middle-school graduates in Ryanggang Province of the DPRK have volunteered for frontline border military posts.

Those of Samjiyon City pledged to defend in military uniform of the revolution the peace and security of the country from any aggression and challenges of the enemies.

Many graduates of Paekam, Kapsan, Samsu, Unhung, Pochon and Phungso counties joined the volunteers.

Those of Kim Jong Suk and Kim Hyong Jik counties are full of the enthusiasm to fly high the DPRK flags at every frontline post.

Meetings for congratulating the volunteers took place in the relevant regions.

At the meetings, speakers called on all the volunteers to perform feats of loyalty and patriotism at every moment of military service, always conscious that national defence is the most vivid expression of patriotism and a sacred duty of young people.

The graduates said that the young people, who grew up drinking water of Mt Paektu and breathing its air, have to guard the foremost line posts for defending the country and the revolution, expressing their resolve to carry out the order of the country devotedly like the combatants who fully demonstrated to the whole world the mightiness of the Korean People's Army in the overseas military operations.

There were art performances to congratulate the volunteers. -0-
