Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), on April 10.
The Lao president in the message expressed his sincere thanks, on behalf of the Central Committee of the LPRP and on his own behalf, to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for sending him sincere greetings and a beautiful flower basket on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the LPRP.
The message noted that the greetings and flower basket sent by Kim Jong Un are a manifestation of the traditional friendship, unity and cooperation between the two parties, two states and two peoples of the LPDR and the DPRK and, at the same time, serve as a great encouragement to the LPRP carrying on the cause of national defence and construction along the road of socialism.
We take great pride in the ever-growing friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties, two states and two peoples of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which have long traditions, the message said.
Wishing Kim Jong Un good health, happiness and success in his noble work, the Laotian president in the message expressed his hope to meet Kim Jong Un and senior officials of the WPK in the near future.
The message hoped that the long-standing friendly and cooperative ties between the two parties, two states and two peoples of the LPDR and the DPRK would grow stronger and substantially benefit the peoples of the two countries. -0-
