Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Ministry of Light Industry and relevant units in the DPRK finished the second-stage production of school uniforms and shoes.

The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill finished the production of school uniform and bag cloths in May.

The Pyongyang Rayon Factory, the Sariwon Textile Mill and the Sariwon Disabled Soldiers' Sewing Thread Factory solved technical problems and supplied materials needed for the production of school uniforms and bags.

The Songyo, Kangso, Hamhung and Sunchon knitwear factories completed the production of T-shirts for the first-year school boys and girls of junior middle schools, while giving precedence to technical preparations according to designs and raising the efficiency of equipment.

The Ryuwon, Pyongyang and Wonsan footwear factories established a regular system of ensuring the quality and enhanced the role of the process inspectors and quality supervisors to produce various kinds of products favored by schoolchildren. -0-
