Efforts Paid to Training Masters of Foreign Languages at Universities and Colleges

Pyongyang, May 10 (KCNA) -- Universities across the DPRK are directing efforts to increasing the ranks of those who master several languages.

Pyongyang University of Medicine and Chongjin University of Medicine worked out plans for training those who master several languages and guided the students in their study. And they have organized presentations, judgment of ability and academic contests in a planned way.

Departments of Pyongyang Commercial Service College are conducting the work of judging the linguistic ability of teachers and introducing exemplary teachers and generalizing their experience.

Officials and teachers of Phyongsong University of Coal Mining are concentrating their efforts on providing students with favorable environment for the study of foreign languages.

Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy and other universities and colleges are improving the quality of foreign language education by exploring and introducing advanced teaching styles and methods conducive to improving the students' cognitive ability and speaking ability. -0-
