Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- Regional-industry factories have been built in inland mountainous Sinyang County of the DPRK to fundamentally improve the quality of the regional people's living and powerfully promote the independent development of the region.

An inauguration ceremony took place on Dec. 15.

Present there were Jo Yong Won, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Song Bom, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, officials in the province and Sinyang County, working people and employees of the factories.

Jo Yong Won addressed the ceremony.

He said that the inauguration season, which has come without fail this year following the last year and will continue to be seen more wonderfully every year in the future, too, is a vivid manifestation of the unshakable will and outstanding leadership ability of the WPK to bring earlier the comprehensive national rejuvenation by pushing ahead with the implementation of the regional development policy.

Saying that a great number of edifices, which are springing up in different parts of the country to the effect that such a gigantic change, something unimaginable just two years ago, may be deemed an everyday occurrence, are the invaluable fruition of the noble intention and devotion of the Party Central Committee to carry out the sacred undertakings for the people faster and better, the speaker referred to the energetic guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who made sure that the construction of regional-industry factories were promoted vigorously in a more qualitative way, as expected by the people.

Thanks to warm sincerity of the great Party Central Committee, which always places the improvement of the people's wellbeing above all else, this year's construction of regional-industry factories has made greater progress than last year on the principle of further diversifying the architectural form, rationally arranging the production lines and ensuring economic effectiveness and profitability in conformity with regional characteristics and functions of industrial facilities.

Then, Kim Kwang Chol, chief secretary of the Sinyang County Committee of the WPK, made a speech.

He said that they would steadily and responsibly carry out the policy tasks for invigorating the factories in order to make the regional-industry factories actually prove effective and become solid and valuable assets for improving the living standards of the people in the county, always bearing in mind the on-site instructions given by Kim Jong Un.

Jo Yong Won cut the inauguration tape, together with the working people who will lead a worthwhile and civilized labor life at the new factories.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the factories with modern production lines.

A colorful art performance was given, adding to the pleasure and joy of the people in Sinyang County greeting the significant day of inauguration.

That evening there was a fireworks display to celebrate the inauguration of the factories. -0-
