Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) -- There took place a national technical innovation contest of the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades of the newly-built regional-industry factories from March to October.

Over 230 technical innovation goals were achieved during the contest.

The contest, divided into the categories of foodstuff factories, daily necessities factories and garment factories, brought together the April 15 technical innovation shock brigades of over 50 regional-industry factories.

During the contest, many successes were registered through the technical innovations to ensure the normal operation of modern production processes and increase production capacity.

Progress has been made in increasing the proportion of locally available raw and other materials and reducing the consumption of electricity, materials and manpower through dynamic technological innovations for actively tapping and using resources in the relevant regions and raising the extraction rate of products.
