Young People in DPRK Volunteer for Major Economic Sectors

Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- Young people in Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK have volunteered for major economic sectors seething with the struggle to implement the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

A graduate student of Songdo University of Education vowed to become a teacher at a branch school in a mountain village.

Many youths petitioned their youth league organizations to dispatch them to regional-industry factories and raw materials bases, out of the mind to devote themselves to the patriotic work for ushering in a great era of regional rejuvenation.

A congratulatory meeting took place with the attendance of Kim Kum Ryong, secretary of the Kaesong Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials of the youth league and youth and students. A congratulatory address and speeches were made there.

Officials, youth and students of the municipality warmly saw off those volunteers leaving for the workplaces called by the Party. -0-
