Students in Kangwon Province of DPRK Make Study Tour of Chol Pass

Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Students of the graduating classes of senior middle schools in Kangwon Province of the DPRK made a study tour of Chol Pass, a symbol of the Songun revolutionary leadership.

The provincial committee of the youth league organized the expedition to Chol Pass with the purpose of preparing all students to be reserves of communist construction who faithfully uphold the noble intention of the peerlessly great men associated in the sacred course for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Officials of the province encouraged the students while marching together with them.

While climbing Chol Pass, the students deeply grasped the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il who made an indefatigable high-intensity forced march, shouldering the destiny of the country and the nation.

They held a campfire meeting to express their excitement through their poems and songs. They held a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas and a contest of singing revolutionary songs in chorus while marching in array.

After arriving at the peak of the pass, they laid bouquets before the monument to the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Il and made a pledge to add luster to his immortal exploits and remain loyal to the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un. -0-
